¡Hola! My name is Yannick Zeisseink and I’ve been an intern at Nightlife Madrid for 5 months now! I am 19 years old and I’ve come from the Netherlands, where I study International Business and Management studies. I’m from a small village called Terwolde, but I’m super happy to be able to live in such a beautiful and large city like Madrid.

During my internship, I was awarded a spot on the Pub Crawl crew. I was super excited because it has given me the opportunity to discover more about Madrid events and what it’s nightlife has to offer. In principle, the Pub Crawl is very simple but it’s actually a really exciting activity. This is because while on the crawl you have the ability to visit multiple venues in one night. What’s even better is that it includes a free drink at all the venues and a free entry to a Discoteca in the end. The experience of Nightlife Madrid’s Pub Crawl is unique because it is never the same. Not only does the location change to different neighborhoods every week, but also the people that come are different so you are never going to have the same experience. The Pub Crawl attracts many students and international people who are ready to party. It’s all about the people and getting to know new places to drink and have fun.

I still remember my first Pub Crawl during my first week here in Madrid. It was really eye-opening because I really began to see what the amazing city I was staying in had to offer. As weeks passed I started to recognize the city center and the streets. I recall starting with only a small perception of Madrid’s nightlife, but the Pub Crawl gave me a whole new perspective of what Madrid is really like.

My job on the Pub Crawl basically entails making sure that everyone gets from point A to point B safe and sound. It is also my goal to make sure that everyone has an amazing night out. When you see everyone smile while they are entering a new bar or club, it really gives you a feeling of satisfaction, and the happiness is contagious.

Feel like you haven’t really taken advantage of your time here in Madrid or that maybe you haven’t seen or done all the things you want to? Well I believe that the Pub Crawl is truly a grand opportunity to do all of those things. You can explore different barrios (neighborhoods) in Madrid because we go to a different one every week, as I mentioned. Plus, you are with people just like you, people who are looking to have a great Saturday night and it’s a great chance to get to know new people and make new friends.

The Pub Crawl also changes themes on a weekly bases to make sure that the experience is never the same. Some of the themes that we’ve had are Movember Pub Crawl which themed on no shave November. The Super Pub Crawl, which was themed based on the Super Bowl in the US, and this consisted of all American drinking games and other typical American activities. Each theme corresponds with different activities. For example, a special performance by an artist, beer pong tables, chugging beers with the beer funnel, limbo dancing, special drinking games, champagne showers and once in a while an exciting twerking contest, where the winner gets a bottle of free alcohol!

So, as you can see, the Pub Crawl will show you a whole other side of Madrid for just a small price, all the while meeting new people and conquering the city where you will be spending the best time of your life.

I was for an internship in Madrid and it helped me a lot to make friends. The guide Manu was super cooler and presented me to a lot of people he knew from previous pubcrawls.

The 3 pubcrawls I have been to were great and helped me a lot with meeting new friends

You should try the Pub Crawl at least once. It doesn’t matter if you come alone or with friends. you always end it up finding some people to have fun with.
