Back in the US, I have to say in all honesty that there is nothing to do on Monday nights. Yeah sure, you can go to a bar, but it will close at 2:00 and then back home you go. However, Monday night got a whole new meaning when I moved to Madrid.

Meet & Dance – Start your week dancing in Madrid

Madrid has many bars and top clubs such as Teatro Kapital, Teatro Barceló and Bling Bling, but the best Monday night entertainment happens at Fucking Monday. I started a tradition with my friends, every Monday night we would meet there at 22:00 for a step-by-step Bachata and Salsa beginner’s class called Meet & Dance which is hosted by Citylife Madrid. The first hour is with professional instructors who teach the class from a stage and make sure all the participants have a great time. The following hour you have the chance to practice your newly learned moves and shortly after midnight there is a final dance performance with everyone in the club. Those dance performances are easy to get and super fun. The dance event finishes with a group photo which you can later find on Facebook and share with your friends back home. I really like Meet & Dance because not only do I get to improve my dancing skills, but I get to meet a bunch of people from all around the world. If you happen to be in Madrid do not miss that event!

Tip: Even during the dead summer months in Madrid when all your friends have returned to their home countries you will find a good number of cool people at Meet & Dance.

Fucking Monday – A mega party on Monday night in Madrid

The fun does not stop there! Around midnight Sala Cool begins to fill with more than a 1.000 people from all over the world for the best Monday party in Madrid. The party is called Fucking Monday. On the main floor, you can listen to the best commercial music mix from the past and present. If you prefer Latin music you can hit the Latin Floor. And last but not least, there is a Beer Pong Tournament where you can compete, win awesome prizes, and meet students from all parts of the world.

The atmosphere is amazing and unique. Not only will you have a hard time finding a party the size of Fucking Monday, but you will also have trouble beating the prices. Depending on what time you go, you can get entry and two drinks for either 10€ or 12€! What a deal, you cannot find those prices anywhere else in Madrid. So even with a limited budget, you can still afford to have a great time. If you do want to go a little fancier, you can do bottle service starting from 100€. The advantage of the bottle service is that you can skip the line and you get a reserved area for you and our friends. When my friends came from the US to visit me, we got a table right on top of the stage for only 150€ and divided among all of us, it was super affordable.
